Christian, a fourth grade student from Cook Elementary, and his mentor Nike from GCM Grosvenor interviewed each other for the May Student & Mentor Spotlight.

What book are you and your mentor currently reading together?
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever

If you and your mentor were stuck on a desert island, what is the one book you would bring with you?
Student: Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
Mentor: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy

What is one thing you and your mentor have in common?
We both get stressed when we have too much homework, but we always do a good job.

If you were an art supply, what would you be and why?
Student: Nike would be a marker because she is sharp and neat.
Mentor: Christian would be the brightest crayon in the box.

What would your partner’s superhero name and superpower be?
Student: Nike would be Investments Girl because she invests money to help people.
Mentor: Christian would be the Red Tornado because he has lazer vision.

What do you admire about your partner?
Student: Nike is super smart and knows a lot about investing stuff.
Mentor: Christian is super smart, creative, and friendly. He has a wicked sense of humor and is awesome at reading.

Student: Nike went to Harvard.
Mentor: Christian used to know how to ride a bike – but he forgot!
